While using the RxSpark website (”Website”), if we ask you to provide any information by which you can be identified, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this policy, to provide you the best service while respecting your privacy.

This Privacy Policy sets out what information we collect about you and how we use and protect any information that you give us when you use the Website.

How we collect and use information

RxSpark does not collect any personal information from Website users unless he/she registers to receive certain services, such as price alerts, coupons and discount cards. The type of information we collect may include, but not be limited to:

What we do with the information we gather

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place HIPPA compliant physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Controlling your personal information

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties outside RxSpark and its associated companies (including parent, sister, subsidiaries and direct affiliates) unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. With your consent, we may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting.

Information Received from Pharmacy Benefits Manager

Most prescriptions purchased in the Unites States result in the pharmacy reporting patient data back to the company that provides the benefit, including prescriptions filled through the use of discount coupons, loyalty cards or insurance co-pays. When you use a coupon provided by RxSpark, we sometimes receive personally identifying information about you and other transaction information from the corresponding Pharmacy Benefit Manager which may include information from your prescriptions such as your name, date of birth, your location, your physician and where and when you filled the prescription.  All personal information received in this way is treated with the same privacy consideration outlined in this Privacy Policy.

Personally Identifying Information of Minors

Our Site is not directed to children or individuals under the age of 13. We assume our website is used by adults or minors supervised by a parent or guardian. We respect the privacy of both parents and children and are committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"). On those areas of our Site that ask for age, we will not collect personal information from individuals who identify themselves as under the age of 13 except in those limited circumstances where we believe that such collection is permitted under COPPA.

We may ask users for their age during the registration process and on other areas of our Website. If a user indicates that he/she is under the age of 13 then all personal data collected during the registration process is automatically deleted except that we may retain and use limited information, such as the child's email address, for a limited period of time, in those cases where we believe that the collection and use of such information is permitted under COPPA.

If we receive information from third parties, such as the Pharmacy Benefit Manager, that contains information identifying an individual as under the age of 13, we will not store this information unless we believe that the collection and use of such information is permitted under COPPA

If a parent believes that his or her child has provided us with personal information, he/she can contact us via email or postal mail and we will promptly delete the information upon learning that it relates to a child under the age of 13.

We believe that parents should supervise their children's online activities. They should consider using parental control tools which are available from online services and software manufacturers that help provide a child-friendly online environment. These tools also help prevent children from disclosing online their name, address and other personal information without parental permission.
