Antineoplastic monoclonal antibodies are medicines used as part of cancer treatment. Antineoplastic drugs act to prevent or inhibit tumor growth. Monoclonal antibodies are antibodies made by identical immune cells and are used to target the specific cause of disease, in this case, cancer cells. Commonly used antineoplastic monoclonal antibodies include Rituxan (rituximab) and Bexxar (tositumomab).
