Antimuscarinics are used to treat cystitis and an overactive bladder. They work by relaxing the bladder muscles and reducing the number of bathroom visits. These medicines may be used to control wetting accidents and treating urinary incontinence. Commonly prescribed antimuscarinics include Ditropan XI (oxybutynin), Toviaz (fesoterodine), Detrol (tolterodine) and Vesicare (solifenacin).
