Anticholinergics-plain, inhalants are medicines used to treat COPD conditions, including emphysema and chronic bronchitis. They are bronchodilators and work by relaxing certain muscles in the body to control spasms, and by opening up the airways to facilitate breathing. Commonly prescribed anticholinergics-plain, inhalants include Spiriva Respimat (tiotropium), Incruse Ellipta (umeclidinium) and Atrovent Hfa (ipratropium).
