Anti-rheumatic monoclonal antibody preparations are used to treat patients with rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and ankylosing spondylitis. They work by causing a reaction in the immune system that reduces swelling of the joints and skin. Commonly prescribed anti-rheumatic monoclonal antibody preparations include Simponi (golimunab) and Remade (infliximab).
