Common Cold

The common cold is one of the most frequently experienced illnesses, with adults in the United States suffering on average two or three colds every year. 

Symptoms are usually mild and last for between one and two weeks. They include a runny or stuffy nose; a cough; a sore throat; congestion; sneezing; body aches; mild headaches; mild fever; and a general feeling of being unwell. 

The common cold is usually treated with over-the-counter medication, vitamins, and plenty of rest and fluids.
